PrimeCo Signs Deal With Metrica Inc. for Performance Monitoring Software

METRICA, INC. SIGNS DEAL WITH PRIMECO

Top PCS carrier chooses Metrica/NPR for
network performance monitoring

WINCHESTER, Massachusetts -- PrimeCo Personal
Communications, L.P. has
chosen Metrica, Inc. to provide performance monitoring software for
their new CDMA network. The Metrica system will be installed in the
PrimeCo National Network Operations Center in Dallas, providing
detailed performance information on PrimeCo's systems in all 11 MTAs
nationwide. Metrica, Inc. has installed their powerful performance
monitoring software, Metrica/NPR, in more than half the operational
PCS networks in the world.

Metrica/NPR absorbs statistics collected from switching, radio and
transmission equipment and provides detailed reports -- daily, and
over weeks or months -- on a wide range of network operating
parameters. Operators use performance information such as cell
traffic, grade of service, blocked calls, dropped calls, and handover
attempts to plan cost-effective infrastructure buildout, and to
monitor and maintain quality of service.

Michael Berman, Metrica's Managing Director, comments, "We are

Metrica/NPR operates as part of a network Operational Support System,
alongside fault management, configuration, and billing software, to
help operators achieve maximum service and efficiency through
understanding network performance. Metrica/NPR runs on UNIX platforms
and is integrated with OSS software from all leading vendors.
