LOS ANGELES, CA -- Monie Begley Feurey, senior vice president, communications for TELE-TV, announced today the appointment of Tom Tyrer as vice president, communications for TELE-TV Media.

Mr. Tyrer will report to Ms. Begley Feurey and will be based at the TELE-TV Media headquarters in Los Angeles. Mr. Tyrer will have responsibility for the publicity, media relations and communications efforts of the Media division of TELE-TV.

Previous to joining TELE-TV, Mr. Tyrer served as Los Angeles bureau chief of Electronic Media, Crain Communications.

During his seven year association with Crain Communications, which began in May 1988, Mr. Tyrer moved from corporate editorial assistant, to staff reporter and then to his bureau chief position. In that position, Mr. Tyrer coordinated all West Coast coverage of content production and distribution businesses. His network of relationships with the leading professionals in the broadcast network, broadcast syndication, new media, and telecommunications businesses contributed to maintaining Electronic Media's reputation as one of the most important entertainment trade publications.

Mr. Tyrer received a B.A. degree in 1985 and an M.A. degree in 1987 from the University of Iowa Writer's Program.

He is married to Kathy Tyrer and lives in the Los Angeles area.
