Verizon Business' Managed Services portfolio is now available in India, enabling India-headquartered customers and local subsidiaries of multinational companies to benefit from the company's extensive experience and expertise in proactive network monitoring and management.

Verizon Managed Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Network Management Reporting - Visual and Wireless LAN services are now available in India, offering customers a flexible migration path and a range of management options to suit their individual business needs. Customers can entrust Verizon Business either with simple network monitoring, or completely outsource their network management, leveraging Verizon Business' global support and industry-leading managed network solutions and capabilities.

In addition, Verizon Business' Managed WAN Optimization Service is also now available. It offers enhanced visibility into network applications, enabling Verizon Business' professional services team to fine-tune the network to optimize application performance across company sites. The benefits Verizon Business' managed services provide to customers are enhanced performance, improved productivity, cost efficiencies and reduced network downtime.

Multinational companies face the challenge of trying to reduce their total cost of network ownership, while also having to deal with increasingly complex global network management requirements. Outsourcing is an increasingly popular option, enabling organizations to benefit from extensive, proven, flexible third-party expertise without the need for significant internal investment in either technologies or personnel.

Verizon Business manages 270,000-plus devices on more than 4,200 customer networks in 142 countries and territories, overseeing non-Verizon connections from more than 60 network providers around the world.  Verizon Business' industry-leading service level agreement (SLA) and award-winning IMPACT management platform underscore its legacy of service and innovation.  The company offers customers a single-source model for the procurement of customer premises equipment (CPE) and a suite of professional network and security services to help customers optimize network design, scalability and protection.

Andrew Dobbins, vice president for Verizon Business Asia-Pacific, said: "In the current economic climate, companies are constantly looking for ways to lower their cost of ownership without impacting performance. When outsourcing network management, the choice of partner will be absolutely critical in the success or failure of the project. Verizon Business has proven expertise and a long history in helping our customers maximize the potential of their global communications infrastructure to support their business objectives. The Asia-Pacific region continues to be a key investment focus for our multinational customer base, and this latest enhancement to our solutions portfolio is testament to our ongoing commitment to meeting our customers' business needs."
