BASKING RIDGE, N.J. - When it comes to customer satisfaction, Verizon Business has earned top honors among six major providers in the large-business category in J.D. Power and Associates' annual survey of small, mid-size and large-business customers. The J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Major Provider Business Telecommunications Services StudySM determined that Verizon Business received the "Highest Customer Satisfaction With Large Enterprise Business Data Service Providers."

Verizon Business scored highest in six of the seven key performance factors used to measure satisfaction: performance and reliability; billing; cost of service; company image; sales representatives/account executives; offerings and promotions; and customer service. Moreover, in five of the seven factors, Verizon Business scored 15 index points above the second-ranked carrier in each factor.

According to J.D. Power and Associates, Verizon Business is the top performer in overall satisfaction and sets the study benchmark in offerings and promotions, company image and cost of service. Verizon was also the industry leader in J.D. Power and Associates' High End Data Study in both 2004 and 2005.

"This recognition by a respected industry expert exemplifies our 'customer-first' culture while reinforcing our 'customer-first' commitment to the business marketplace," said John Killian, president of Verizon Business. "By doing what we do best -- providing high-quality communications solutions and excellent customer service -- our customers can focus on what they do best for their customers."

The study was conducted in January 2006 and is comprised of responses from 3,138 customers, including those who were previously with MCI, Inc. and are now with Verizon Business following the January 2006 merger of the two companies.
