Verizon Global Wholesale Wins MEF's 'Best Wholesale Ethernet Service' Award for North America

Verizon Global Wholesale continues to receive Metro Ethernet Forum honors, garnering the forum's 2011 Best Wholesale Ethernet Service award for North America, the second consecutive year the company has received the award.

Last month, the MEF recognized Verizon Global Wholesale as the Best Wholesale Ethernet Service provider for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, also the second consecutive year the company has earned that honor.  The awards recognize excellence and leadership in the development, marketing and delivery of carrier Ethernet services in various regions around the globe.

The Best Wholesale Ethernet Service award is presented to the service provider with the most robust wholesale service offering that extends the reach of Ethernet services to customers.

The awards are bestowed by an independent panel of senior industry analysts.  Winners were announced earlier this month during a ceremony at the Light Reading Ethernet Expo in New York City.
