Verizon Launches 'Our People. Our Network.' TV, Print and Online Advertising Campaign

NEW YORK -- Verizon announced today the launch of a new national advertising campaign entitled "Our People. Our Network."
The campaign, which begins today in a series of television, print and online advertisements, features five Verizon employees who symbolize the dedication of the company and all its employees to providing broadband services to customers through innovation and advanced technology. The ads include Verizon's recognizable tagline, "We never stop working for you."
"Our new ads focus on those things that make Verizon such an innovative and trusted company: both our people and our network. Our employees are proud to work for a winner in a competitive industry, and our network gives our customers a superior broadband experience," said Tom Tauke, Verizon executive vice president, Public Affairs, Policy and Communications.
"We did not need to hire actors for these spots; the Verizon employees highlighted in the campaign effectively convey their dedication to transforming the way our customers communicate and get their entertainment and information," he said.
Future ads will highlight the broadband capabilities of Verizon and Verizon Wireless.
The first 30-second television spot highlights the power of Verizon's fully-fiber network, enabling the next generation of phone, Internet and TV services. Recognized in 2005 by Fortune Magazine as America's Most Admired Telecommunications Company, Verizon is installing fiber-optic networks in 15 states, or more than half the states where it offers landline communications service. Verizon employees describe how their jobs help to bring innovation and advanced technology to Verizon customers.
The commercials will air on national and cable networks and will be featured on ABC World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News, as well as on various programs on A&E, CNN, FOX News Channel, The History Channel and MSNBC.
The initial three print ads highlight the experiences of individual Verizon employees and provide their personal accounts of bringing broadband services to customers. The ads will run in newspapers and national magazines including: The Boston Globe, The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Newsweek, Time and U.S. News & World Report.
The "Our People. Our Network" campaign also currently includes two online ads. Titled "Heart" and "Network," the ads reinforce the message of the strength of the fully fiber-optic network and the dedication of the employees constructing it. The ads will appear on the online Web sites of news outlets including CNN, Congressional Quarterly, The Hill, Marketwatch, National Journal, National Review, The New York Times and The New York Times Digital, Roll Call, Slate, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post.
