To help make the billing process as easy and efficient as possible for its business customers, Verizon is introducing a series of new online bill-payment and analysis capabilities.

The new capabilities - available to businesses of all sizes through the Verizon Enterprise Center (VEC) global customer portal -- provide simplified payment options, and enable businesses to analyze their bills, track their communications expenses in detail, and obtain faster responses to billing inquiries.

The enhancements, which build on the online billing options currently available through the VEC, feature:

  • Global Billing Report - Available in 62 currencies, Global Billing Report compiles worldwide billing data into a consolidated summary that enables multinational companies to monitor and analyze their global Verizon technology costs.  Monthly reports provide a snapshot of customers' expenses for voice, data, Internet and wireless services. Companies can also take advantage of a new Global Charges By Product feature, which provides an at-a-glance summary of companies' invoices sorted by expenditures for specific products and services.

  • Simplified Online Payment Options - Enables Verizon customers to view the status of their payments and see adjustments reflected in near real time. Customers can also view invoices with unpaid balances on any of their accounts.
  • Billing Inquiry Form - This newly enhanced form enables customer inquiries to be routed even more quickly for proper resolution.

"IT managers are hungry for new tools to help them manage their business processes and spending - and Verizon is delivering," said Mark Chodoronek, Verizon executive director for e-commerce and digital customer enablement.  "Use of the Verizon Enterprise Center's online billing services has jumped 50 percent over the past year, which shows there is a need and demand for our enhanced online billing capabilities."

In addition to the enhancements, Verizon offers business customers a range of online billing options through the VEC that provide a compelling alternative to paper-based billing, enabling customers to review, analyze and, in many instances, pay their invoices online.  The options include EDI Billing, BillManager, Direct Data Billing Services and Online Billing.

"Verizon's feature-rich, self-service applications provide comprehensive, integrated functionality, making it easy for customers to manage their communications services online," said Lynda Stadtmueller, senior research analyst, Stratecast. "The company has designed effective tools to help a wide range of business customers to boost productivity, maintain business continuity and troubleshoot more quickly."
