Since launching the Spanish-language SuperPages.com in October 2001, Verizon has frequently added Hispanic-focused content and now provides yellow pages service to the three leading Spanish-language portals - Univision Online, Terra.com and YupiMSN.
Map-based search provides SuperPages.com en Español users a new way to search for businesses. Here, users can customize an online map and plot the location of several businesses - up to 100 listings in as many as five different yellow pages categories. Special features include a detailed legend, printing capability and the ability to zoom to expand or narrow the mapped area. The map also includes each business'name, address and phone number.
The SuperPages.com en Español SuperTopics feature lifestyle content. The 16 new sections provide information ranging from selecting a pool builder to working with an employment firm. There are also direct links to merchants providing related goods and services.
On City Pages, which provide Spanish-language guides to select U.S. cities, users can now access each city's daily weather information, including the day's predicted high and low temperatures and the day's forecast. In addition, clicking on the 'More' icon will access an extended 7-day forecast. The forecasts are based upon data provided by the National Weather Service and adjusted and modified by SuperPages.com for maximum usefulness and accessibility.
SuperPages.com en Español is just part of Verizon's growing portfolio of services offering Hispanics more choices in how they access directory information.
