DALLAS - The Fort Myers/Cape Coral area was chosen as one of more than 20 competitive markets Verizon Information Services, the world's largest publisher of telephone directories, has selected to introduce its yellow pages directories - branded SuperPages. Currently more than 225,000 directories are being delivered to area residents and businesses.

In the Spring Verizon will be delivering Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte SuperPages directories. Fort Myers/Cape Coral and Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte are two of seven independent markets in Florida that have been selected for new Verizon SuperPages directories, making the state one of Verizon's most important expansion markets.

"Many full-time and part-time residents of Ft. Myers/Cape Coral know and trust the Verizon brand," said John Rodenbush, Verizon general sales manager in Fort Myers. "Our local residents fit the Verizon profile of smart shoppers who seek comprehensive information including Verizon's SuperPages directory and its online directory and shopping resource, SuperPages.com."

Local Content and Features

The new directory includes a Community Magazine, and Dining Your Way! Restaurant Guide spotlighting 60 area restaurants. The restaurant guide includes an A-Z index, menus and maps. "Area residents and visitors love to eat out and the 'Dining Your Way!' guide is a very helpful, easy-to-use feature," said Rodenbush.

Area shoppers and businesses also have access to Verizon's leading online directory and shopping resource, SuperPages.com, as well as the most comprehensive national Spanish-language online directory - SuperPages.com en Español (SuperPages.com/enEspanol). Both sites have local and national content.

In January, Verizon SuperPages directories were distributed in Naples. This fall, Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale will receive SuperPages with Ft. Lauderdale's distribution including a bilingual zoned edition. Miami and West Palm Beach residents and businesses will receive their new directories Spring 2004.

If you do not receive a copy of your Ft. Myers/Cape Coral SuperPages by the end of October, please call 1-800-888-8448.
