"Better Late Than Forever Day." On that day, people can visit
BigYellow (bigyellow.com) to send specially-designed "Better Late
Than Forever" cards -- either through e-mail or the U.S. Postal
Service -- FREE to anyone in the U.S.
For the event, American Greetings has created special belated
greetings including, "Long Time No See...," "Let's stay in touch...,"
and "I'm so sorry." The cards help people make amends for the
greetings they forgot to send last week, last year or last decade.
And hopefully, anyone receiving a Better Late Than Forever card will
grant "amnesty" to the sender -- forgiving him or her for being late.
"If you think about it, Better Late Than Forever Day really is better
late than never," said Mark Remmer, business development director at
Bell Atlantic Electronic Commerce Services, creators of BigYellow.
"Imagine all the good feelings that could have been captured had this
day of forgiveness been around throughout history. Thanks to the Web

Better Late Than Forever Day was created as a one-time promotion to
introduce Web users to a new service developed by BigYellow and
American Greetings. The new service provides an easy way for BigYellow
users to instantly send an e-mail card or a printed card to someone
whose address they look up using BigYellow.
