HUNTSVILLE, AL — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless communications provider, will mark the opening of two new retail store locations in Northern Alabama with store celebrations. Celebrations will be held at the West Huntsville location, March 1-3, and celebrations will be held Feb. 28 and March 1-2 at the Guntersville location.
"When we open our doors in the West Huntsville and Guntersville locations, our customers will see the latest wireless products and services surrounded by spacious, customer-friendly floor plans," said James Davis, Verizon Wireless district manager, retail, for North Alabama. "Huntsville and Guntersville are growing markets, and the new stores help us better serve the entire area."
A brand new Verizon Wireless store is located at 6275 University Drive, Suite 3, in West Huntsville. Store manager Neal Ingram will lead the West Huntsville sales team. The new Guntersville store is located at 11476 Highway 431, where store Manager Tina Gilliland will lead the sales team.
Verizon Wireless will host opening celebrations at each store. The public is invited to tour the new stores, view product demonstrations and participate in prize giveaways and other activities.
In conjunction with the store openings, Verizon Wireless will donate $1,000 to Hope Place, a shelter program for victims of domestic violence in Northern Alabama.
"Verizon Wireless is committed to domestic violence awareness, and we are pleased to lend our support to Hope Place and other local domestic violence prevention programs," said Davis. "These programs provide a much needed service to the Huntsville and Guntersville communities, and we are pleased to continue our relationship with Hope Place."
The new Verizon Wireless communications stores feature a variety of products and services including the latest wireless Internet services, including Mobile Web™ and Mobile Office, and Mobile MessengerSM for two-way text messaging. Customers who visit during the grand opening may want to sign up for the new America's ChoiceSM plan, that offers the best combination of geographic coverage and talk time made-to-order for wireless users. America's Choice is designed for wireless users who want the same rates to apply everywhere the company provides service. There are seven different pricing options, ranging from $35 for 300 minutes to $200 for 3,000 minutes.
In addition to these offers, the West Huntsville and Guntersville stores are also featuring specials on the Audiovox 8100, the Kyocera 2135 and the Kyocera Smartphone QCP 6035, along with a premier line of other digital wireless phones, data products and accessories. The staff of trained professionals at each store can assist individuals in selecting equipment, calling plans or setting up Mobile Web, Verizon Wireless' Internet access service.

The new Verizon Wireless store on Highway 431 in Guntersville replaces the store formerly located at 2090 Gunter Ave., which has closed.
