Verizon Wireless Cullman Communications Store Celebrates Grand Opening

CULLMAN, AL — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless communications provider, will celebrate the grand opening of its Cherokee Avenue store location with a celebration from Monday, September 28 through Saturday, October 4. In a special check presentation at the store, a donation will be made to the Harbour Haus, a local shelter which provides assistance to victims of domestic violence.

The $500 donation will be presented to Harbour Haus at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, at the Verizon Wireless Store located at 1810 Cherokee Avenue S.W.

"Verizon Wireless is committed to domestic violence awareness and prevention and has worked with domestic violence agencies across the state to show our dedication within the community," said Jim Davis, Verizon Wireless' Northern Alabama district manager, retail sales. "Through their efforts, Harbour Haus reached out to help domestic violence victims in the community. We appreciate the difficult work that they do and present this grant to help them to continue to address domestic violence with compassion for those in need.

Verizon Wireless communications stores feature a variety of wireless products and services, along with a premier line of accessories. The sales staff is trained to help customers make the best choices for their individual needs from selecting the best calling plan to previewing the latest products and services.

"The new Cherokee Avenue store will help us provide the services and expertise our customers have come to rely on and extend our services to new customers in a modern, well-equipped environment," Store Manager Rita Walker said. "We are excited about our new location as we continue to provide topnotch service to our customers in the Cullman area."

During the anniversary celebration week, the store will offer $25 off all handset purchases over $100 and no activation fee — a $35 value — with one- and two-year annual agreements.

WZYP-FM will be broadcasting live on Friday, October 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. from the store.

The state-of-the-art technology store officially opened on September 8. Northern Alabama has eight Verizon Wireless retail stores.
