HOWELL, NJ — In response to the growing demand for the company's products and services, Verizon Wireless has opened its newest Communications Store in Howell. The company also owns and operates five other stores in Monmouth County in West Long Branch, Manalapan, Hazlet and at the Monmouth Mall and Freehold Mall.
Located in the Lanes Mill Market Place on Route 9 South, across from Stop and Shop and next to Barnes and Noble, the new store is open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The company continues to expand its retail presence to meet the growing demand for its wireless products and services, and to make wireless shopping more convenient for customers. In 2003, Verizon Wireless added 5 million net new customers and now serves 37.5 million customers nationwide. In addition, now that customers are able to switch carriers and keep their wireless numbers, the company expects demand to continue.
"Customers choose Verizon Wireless because they want service on the nation's largest, most reliable wireless network," said Store Manager Larry Krayn. "They know the value of wireless service you can count on."
Verizon Wireless has invested nearly $1 billion in its wireless network during the past three years in the New York Metro area to double capacity to handle calls and to make available wireless data services such as picture messaging, text messaging, high speed Internet connections through NationalAccess, formerly called Express Network, and Get It Now® service which offers downloadable ring tones and games.
The Howell Communications Store is one of 70 retail locations Verizon Wireless owns and operates in the New York Metro area.
