ORANGEBURG, NY — In response to the growing demand for the company's voice and data products and services, Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, has opened its newest Communications Store at 2502 Hylan Boulevard.

The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 9 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm. The store number is (718) 987-7454.

"We offer customers the very latest wireless communications technology in a well-equipped, customer friendly environment," Verizon Wireless Communications Store Manager Andrew Doren said. "Our sales team will deliver a high level of customer support and a broad range of equipment and service plans to suit every need."

The new store features a variety of wireless products and services for customers including V CAST, a 3G multimedia wireless service bringing streaming video content to wireless phones, TXT and Picture Messaging, Get It Now® applications including downloadable ring tones and games, and high-speed wireless Internet connections with Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess service.

The Hylan Boulevard store also participates in the company's HopeLineSM phone recycling program. HopeLine collects no-longer-used wireless phones to be refurbished, recycled or sold; proceeds are donated to domestic violence advocacy groups or used to purchase wireless phones with airtime for emergency use by victims.

Since 2001, Verizon Wireless has collected more than two million wireless phones to benefit domestic violence victims. In 2004, consumers donated more than 750,000 wireless phones to HopeLine, up more than 35 percent from the previous year. Also last year, the program donated more than $800,000 to shelters and organizations for domestic violence prevention programs and victims' services and more than 11,000 wireless phones with airtime and other features. In addition to benefiting victims, HopeLine provides an environmentally friendly method for recycling used phones. All Verizon Wireless Communications Stores nationwide participate in the HopeLine program.

Demand for Verizon Wireless services continued during the fourth quarter last year as the company added a record 1.7 million net new customers. Verizon Wireless now serves 43.8 million customers nationwide and is the nation's wireless leader in customer loyalty, based on customer retention and turnover rates announced publicly by the largest wireless providers.

The company invests more than $1 billion every 90 days into its nationwide wireless voice and data network to add coverage and capacity, and to make available wireless data services such as Picture Messaging, TXT Messaging, and the new V CAST service, which delivers crystal clear short content on-demand, 3D games and music videos to wireless phones from leading and respected news and entertainment sources and other innovative content providers.
