IRVINE, CA — Residents in Rialto, California can now make more calls, thanks to Verizon Wireless' construction of a cell site in the city center.
Network coverage and call capacity have been improved near:
- The Rialto Metrolink station
- The local courthouse
- The city library
- The downtown post office
- Merrill and Rialto avenues between Riverside and Cedar avenues
"A school nurse needs to call a child's parent A college student wants a ride home for the weekend A first responder must email her team Whatever you consider urgent, you can depend on the most reliable national wireless network thanks to our $30 billion investment in it since 2000," said John Palmer, regional president of Verizon Wireless.
Real-life test men and women inspired the "Can you hear me now? Good®" advertising campaign. These technicians gather data on more than 300,000 calls monthly to test all major wireless networks. They travel over 100,000 miles a month in specially equipped vehicles to conduct testing. Engineers analyze each test call and execute plans to further enhance the network. Redundant computer and power systems help ensure network reliability during crises and throughout the year.
