The Limbo Show On Verizon Wireless Launches Vegas-Style Welcome For New Host

BASKING RIDGE, NJ, and BURLINGAME, CA — Since Verizon Wireless launched the first-ever mobile game show in March on its V CAST mobile video platform, consumer excitement around the opportunity to win amazing prizes every day from The Limbo Show has grown. To celebrate the show's success and growing popularity plus welcome its new host, Danielle Demski, Limbo is launching a series of mega-prize events, including Vegas Week in partnership with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to air this week.

"Danielle hosts the Vegas Minute for CW and the Three Card Poker Championship for GSN, so we're giving her a VIP welcome on familiar turf — Las Vegas," said Jonathon Linner, chief executive officer of Limbo. "We're excited to see The Limbo Show grow in popularity and we invite Verizon Wireless' V CAST viewers to celebrate with the opportunity to win even bigger prizes."

In just six months, more than 170 people have been awarded more than $40,000 in prizes, and more exclusive prizes are planned to blow out the final quarter of 2007. In addition to Vegas Week, during which V CAST viewers will have the opportunity to win a VIP trip to Las Vegas from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, complete with exclusive tickets to Cory Hart's Wasteland — the Hard Rock's newest club opening up next year — players can compete for:

  • Our biggest prize yet: an exclusive celebrity gift package worth $10,000. This is the same gift package that Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey, and Tom Hanks took home from a recent Hollywood awards event honoring Julia Roberts. The gift bag, exclusively available only from The Limbo Show, is filled with a luxurious assortment of celebrity gifts that include lavish hotel and spa stays, jewelry, cutting-edge electronics, and high-end accessories.

  • Tickets to the celebrity event of the year: the Golden Globes award show in January. Prize package includes round-trip airfare to Los Angeles and luxurious accommodations.

  • Exclusive access to the Grammy's star-studded after party in Los Angeles on Feb. 10, 2008. Prize package includes round-trip airfare and luxurious accommodations.

  • Weekly cash prizes just in time for the holiday season.

Our new host, Danielle, may have a fresh look, but she's already a Hollywood veteran with a resume that includes co- and guest-star appearances on Oxygen Network's Monique's Fat Chance and MTV's Flipped. The former Miss Arizona USA (2004) and Miss USA finalist also performed for four years as an NFL Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader and has hosted various entertainment programs for NBC, ABC and KTLA — Los Angeles. Danielle also hosted Titanic — Deep Ocean One for Director James Cameron, which she considers a career highlight.

The Limbo Show airs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday on V CAST from Verizon Wireless. Viewers can watch and play along with daily games for the opportunity to win luxury prizes such as digital cameras, handsets and gift cards. A week-long game starts each Wednesday and features major prizes such as an HDTV, a trip to Ireland and weekend getaways to see exclusive concerts.

The Limbo Show is available to Verizon Wireless customers at no additional charge with any V CAST subscription. Customers with select V CAST-enabled phones can check out V CAST whenever they want for just $3.00 for 24-hour use or by signing up for the $15.00 V CAST VPak monthly subscription, which also includes access to Verizon Wireless' ESPN MVP, Get It Now® and Mobile Web 2.0SM services. Customers get unlimited basic video — including video from The Limbo Show — but application download fees apply for 3D games and premium video. There are no airtime or megabyte charges to download, stream or watch V CAST content with any V CAST subscription.
