ORANGEBURG, NY — (L-R) Sandy Oliva, executive director of the Nassau County Coalition to Combat Domestic Violence, and Sharon Hoahing, the Coalition's operations director, joined Verizon Wireless' Director of Retail Stores Michael Scribner at Shea Stadium last month when the company hosted a special evening to honor individuals throughout the New York Metro area who work tirelessly year-round to assist domestic violence survivors. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
