Proceeds from HopeLine are used to provide wireless phones to survivors of domestic violence who are rebuilding their lives or cash grants to local shelters and non-profit organizations that focus on domestic violence prevention and awareness.

Since the program's inception in 2001 Verizon Wireless has collected more than 6 million phones, awarded nearly $7 million in cash grants to domestic violence agencies and distributed more than 76,000 phones and 228 million minutes of free wireless service to be used by victims of domestic violence.

"We are excited about our expansion in the Waco community," said Frank Antonacci, region president for Verizon Wireless. "Verizon Wireless is committed to the communities where we live and work. We look forward to providing customers with the best products and services at a great value."
