More than Two Billion Points Already Redeemed through Verizon Wireless Smart Rewards Program

Who doesn’t like a little reward?

Since Verizon Smart Rewards launched in July, more than five million Verizon Wireless accounts have signed up for the unique program that offers a wide variety of rewards in exchange for points. Customers can easily earn points for their everyday activities and interactions with Verizon Wireless.

Verizon Smart Rewards participants have redeemed over two billion rewards points since the program launched at an impressive rate of 260 points per second. Customers have redeemed points to buy discounted merchandise and participate in sweepstakes and auctions. Specifically, Verizon Wireless customers have benefitted from:

  • More than 60,000 free Verizon Wireless gift cards totaling roughly $1 million in value
  • Nearly 500 free tablets and more than 2,500 discounted iPads
  • Thousands of free gift cards to restaurants, stores and lodging
  • Savings of up to 40% on brand-name merchandise and hotel stays

With the holiday season upon us, new rewards are added every day, including chances to win phones, tablets, TVs, electronics and other popular items during special auctions and sweepstakes in mid-December. Customers can also enter to win special sports auctions and sweepstakes.

Earning points is easy – and they add up fast. As a reminder, Verizon customers who sign up for Smart Rewards will find at least 10,000 points waiting for them after they register. Activities, including signing in to the My Verizon online account management tool, paying your monthly bill, and other transactions like using the Verizon Trade In program or choosing paperless billing, will generate more points every month.
