XLTE is Verizon Wireless’ way of delivering more to its customers. This is all made possible by taking advantage of AWS spectrum to add capacity to our award-winning 4G LTE network.
Today, December 18, the company announced that it has launched XLTE in 10 new markets, bringing double the 4G LTE bandwidth and greater peak speeds now in more than 400 markets coast to coast.
The new markets include:
Chambersburg, PA
Charleston, WV
Chillicothe, OH
Dothan-Enterprise, AL
Eureka, CA
Hagerstown, MD
Hattiesburg, MS
La Grange, GA
Oskaloosa/Ottumwa, IA
Watertown, NY
That means that 4 out of 5 Verizon Wireless 4G LTE markets, large and small, from New York to San Diego and from Chicago to Miami - and beyond - also now have Verizon Wireless XLTE.
Here’s one way to think of it: adding XLTE to our 4G LTE network is like doubling the number of lanes on a freeway from 10 to 20. The extra lanes means traffic can move faster, but the speed limit hasn’t changed.
Your technology is only as good as the network it is on. The advantage of XLTE helps enable a more mobile lifestyle for customers who are continuously on the go – to watch video, access the Internet, connect to social media, and more.
And it’s not gone unnoticed. Verizon Wireless has been recognized as having a superior network by RootMetrics, PC Magazine and others.
