BEDMINSTER, NJ — Verizon Wireless V CAST customers are the first to get a wireless front row seat throughout Yellowcard's album launch "buzz" tour which kicks off today in Minneapolis, Minnesota as part of the Verizon Wireless "Music Unleashed Concert Series." In conjunction with the tour Verizon Wireless will provide exciting and exclusive wireless content, including live, full-length Yellowcard songs and videos, exciting contest prizes, opportunities to meet the band and the ability to "mash" Yellowcard songs online.

In an exclusive offer, Verizon Wireless V CAST Music customers can access and purchase the first live recordings of Yellowcard's new songs before the new album is released on January 24. The first six tracks come from Yellowcard's exclusive EP, What Happens in Vegas…, recorded earlier this month at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

"With V CAST Music, we're able to deliver on the promise of giving fans the ability to download music from their favorite Capitol and EMI artists anywhere, and at any time," said Ted Mico, senior vice president of strategic marketing for Capitol Records. "We're especially thrilled that Yellowcard is playing such an important part in Verizon Wireless' V CAST Music launch."

Contest to Meet the Band
Verizon Wireless is providing several opportunities for customers to get up close and personal with the band as a way of making Yellowcard fans' dreams come true. Fans can enjoy ring back tones featuring such hits as: "Cigarette," "Down on my head," "Holly Wood Died," "Lights and Sounds," "Rough Landing," and "Anywhere But Here." Every purchase of a Yellowcard ring back tone through Verizon Wireless is also an entry into a contest to win a grand-prize trip to a Yellowcard music video shoot and a chance to appear in their video. Fans may also enter the contest via the Internet. Details on Yellowcard contests, Verizon Wireless V CAST Music content and full schedule of concert dates can be accessed through www.yellowcardconcerts.com.

"As Yellowcard's manager, I am constantly looking for new business models and ways for the band to develop their careers and reach their fans," said Deb Klein from The Firm, Yellowcard's management company. "V CAST Music has taken wireless music beyond ring tones and ring back tones and now lets bands distribute their music faster and more widely."

V CAST Music runs on Verizon Wireless' broadband network, the most robust, award-winning wireless broadband network in the nation, available to about 150 million people from coast to coast. Yellowcard's new album, Lights and Sounds, to be released on January 24th, 2006 is even more ambitious than its predecessor — sonically and lyrically -- encompassing a broader range of musical styles from the buzzing guitar attack of the title track to the 25-piece orchestra that graces the sweeping "How I Go."
