TOMS RIVER, NJ — Elizabeth Weaver of Sovereign Trust and Wealth Management Division recently donated 127 wireless phones to Verizon Wireless' Ocean County Mall Communications Store to benefit Verizon Wireless' national HopeLine program. Through HopeLineSM, previously owned wireless phones are collected and refurbished, recycled and/or sold to benefit victims of domestic violence. Weaver, of Beachwood, organized the drive and collected phones from her colleagues at Sovereign and her friends and family members.
As a result of HopeLine and related phone recycling programs Verizon Wireless has organized since 1995, the company has collected more than 1 million used wireless phones for the benefit of domestic violence victims and advocacy groups. For more information, visit verizonwireless.com/hopeline. Phone donations (from any carrier) are accepted at any Verizon Wireless Communications Store.
