LAS VEGAS, NV — Following a statement issued by Linkin Park regarding the cancellation of tonight’s concert for UNLV due to the injury of lead singer Chester Bennington, Verizon Wireless’ Ed Ruth, director of digital music for Verizon, said the following:
“Verizon Wireless congratulates the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Valerie Cossio for winning the ‘Remix2Win with Linkin Park’ national contest. We sincerely regret that tonight’s concert has been cancelled due to these unforeseen circumstances. Verizon Wireless will be in contact with the University and Valerie as soon as more information is available about the band’s health and schedule.”
