Heavy Duty -Not a pocket phone

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I purchased this phone because I work outside in all weather conditions . My hope was that the durability of the phone would endure the outdoor forest habitat I work In . The phone is not what I expected - This is my first Smart Phone, so it has been a learning experience. The battery seems to drain quickly in cold temperatures. My biggest con so far is that it - it does not remind me of a missed, unanswered call or text. I am not glued to my phone. if I receive a call/text while I'm away from it I don't know i have missed a call/text until I check my phone. My old phone would beep every 3 minutes to notify me that I missed a call/text. On the Pro side, The phone has the durability that I want, and so far, has stood up to being rattled around in the cab of a truck and heavy equipment. It is a little larger than most phones so it doesn't fit in all compartments.

Thank you for your review. It is true that the performance of lithium-ion batteries can be impacted by cold temperatures. You might want to carry your DuraForce Ultra inside a pocket or simply be prepared for the battery to last a shorter time in the cold. Regarding the reminders for missed calls or incoming text messages, it is true that the phone doesn't provided audible reminders. This is a feature on our basic phones, but not part of the smartphone platform. It utilizes visual reminders, like the blinking LED on the outside of the phone and notifications in the UI. Kyocera

First issue on the first batch of three [business acount] was the displays were erratic, then after a system software upgrade the phone would reboot every 10 minutes. Returned all to Kyocera and they sent new phones, however, the same problem occurred on the second batch. Sad, that a billion dollar company like Kyocera and Verizon cant figure this out.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

What can I say, I dropped it off from my horse day one zero problems with this phone at all. Same great phone as always it takes a beating and keeps on holding strong. I love the camera options with this new model, I can record in slow mo time lapse you name it it's ready to rock and roll. I highly recommend it!
