[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nest camera took about 5 minutes from start to finish to set up. After installing the Google Home app, I hooked it up to Alexa. I love the clarity of this 2k camera and the intuitiveness it has in detecting and tracking motion. It has a wide view and the base is heavy enough to hold it in place without falling. It has good flexibility and is able be put into just about any position. The app was easy to use and gave me crystal clear images. It’s more than sufficient as an indoor camera as well. It’s tiny footprint combined with its high quality makes it a great camera for your home or even your office

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nest Cam was easy to install and has a high power of usage when using the camera. I love the small design of this camera. It can be installed easy and hide inconspicuous that doesn’t draw attention. The only drawback is you have to subscribe for a subscription to be able to view camera data that was taken day, weeks, or months. The camera does record each day but you can only view the recordings for that day without a subscription

Too easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box, the google nest cam was so simple and easy to set up. I’ve been wanting security coverage for my driveway/front yard. I have a doorbell camera, but its view is limited. I opened the box, plugged in the camera and scanned the QR code and there wasn’t much more to it. I didn’t want to mount it to the wall and I wasn’t set on the location, so I perched it on a window sill and was impressed by the coverage. I get notifications when a human is detected and it shows clear footage all the way to the street 20’ away. This is exactly what I needed. So easy, more security.

You can see very wide angles and it shows every detail of your room very good quality camera and it was super easy to set up. It only took me like five minutes. I didn’t mount it I just put it on a table. I’m gonna use it to keep an eye on my dog while I’m at work.

The angle is wider than a similar one my brother has and it has the convenience of viewing from my app. The installation was relatively easy after reading the instructions several times to gain understanding. I like that I can ensure my privacy is protected as I can observe my area and in addition, watch my dogs while I’m away. I would say I would like better video speed or the ability to adjust the speed.

I don’t feel like I should have to have two different apps to make this work. Seems ridiculous. The alerts are super sensitive. It alert even when a person just peeks at the doorway. It got 3 stars because my family have actually really enjoyed being silly and goofy with it.

We have Ring cameras but the Nest Cam blows the Ring cameras out of the water in terms in usability, picture and video quality. Installation was super easy. The videos are so clear and it’s able to recognize people vs objects. It can even tell you what’s going on in the video with voice prompts. Definitely would recommend it to everyone.

It also seems pretty durable. The only thing I don't care for is the wire does tangle very easily. Other than that I think it's one of the best security cameras for indoor use that is.

Does this run off work or cell service?

Mobile hotspots: These may have issues with bandwidth, availability, data limits and usage fees. Nest products work best with a reliable 24/7 internet connection, so you’d need to keep your mobile hotspot device at home all the time. 2. Public or open networks: For security reasons, never connect your Nest product to a network you know nothing about, and don’t use someone else’s network without their permission. 3. Guest networks: You might not be able to troubleshoot a Wi-Fi or internet issue because you can’t access the router settings.
