Yes, I'd recommend this product.
It seems like a good case. Working in construction, I dropped my Pixel 6 Pro a few times and only the screen cracked on it.

I had a Defender case for my Pixel 3XL for 5 years. It was a great case With no problems and when I took the case off, my phone still looked brand new. The holster was really good and I had no worries about the phone staying in the holster even while working. Never had my 3XL fall out of the holster. I wanted the same protection and trust for my new 8 Pro. I do like the way the case comes up to the lens bubble on the back and makes the back seem flat. The case fits really well and provides very good protection for the phone. Very, very happy with this case, not so much with the holster. I have had the case for about a week now and the phone has fallen out of the holster four times and hit the ground. It seems like they skimped on the bottom two corners of the holster. They are narrower than the ones on the 3XL holster, so the corners of the phone aren't held as securely in the holster. I always use the holster, that's why I bought the Defender case. I don't trust this holster so much. When I put the phone in the holster now, I give a little tug to make sure it is in the holster. If you want good protection for the phone, this is a very good case. Just watch the holster.

What covers the screen

Hello! Our engineers removed the built-in screen protector from our Defender Series case to ensure complete functionality with the newest devices. Our Defender Series was redesigned in order to provide the same drop protection even without the built-in screen protector. The addition of one of our amazing screen protection options provides your phone with premium protection and outperforms our previous Defender Series designs.

The OtterBox Defender Pro case for the Pixel 8 Pro does not include a built-in screen protector. You'll need to purchase a separate screen protector if you want complete coverage for your screen. ~Balter
