The bumper I received did not fit well. It was loose on the sides. After installing the bumper, the fingerprint sensor & power button wouldn't work properly. I've used a bumper before on my old Moto Z Force & that one fit perfectly.

Just purchased a couple of these for our new phones. Like the title says, they are the best we can hope for until someone makes a folding case or any kind of case that will hold the battery mod. Just upgraded from the Moto Z and fortunately I had found a 'book' case on amazon that fit the phone with the battery mod attached, and had room for my license and a couple cards.. sure I needed to stretch it to fit around the phone, but it was great. So far this bumper fits nicely on the phone and yes I can see that I won't be able to get the battery off unless I modify the bumper. I don't really take the battery off much anyway so that's not a big issue. If you have this phone, this option is better than nothing, as it keeps the front of the phone from contacting the surface of a table, etc. Nothing is protecting the battery mod and it's showing scratches from the couple years I have had it. Looking forward to a real case for my new Moto Z3! Apparently the ratings on reviews require you to fill in unnecessary ratings, so ignore the ones that do not apply.

I bought this because I like to use my Moto car dock and batteries without having to take off my a cover. I like the idea of the bumper case but it's just poor build quality. I bought two and both of them bow out on the left side near the power button. It's minor but just looks and feels sloppy.

This case will not work with all mods unless modified. There is a strip on the back of the bumper that has to be shaved off in order for it to work with all of the mods. I bought 5 of these and they are all the same way. Nice bumper but must be modified. Once you shave off some from the back strip at bottom, it will work with all mods! It's a shame that the designer didn't make these this way to start with.

A Must Buy for Z3/Z3 Play

I bought the Z3 Play when it first came out and was unable to find a case to my liking until now. This is by far the best bumper I have ever owed. It is thick enough to protect the edges and stiff enough not to fall off. Best of all it works with the Motorola battery mod included with the Z3 Play.

This bumper works as designed. I can keep my battery mod on 24/7 without any issues and bumper works as my case. I can pop on and off my projector mod and my Alexa speaker mod quickly. This is a must have if you are into the Mod eco system.

Exactly what I was looking for to be able to use my Moto Mods and protect my phone. It does fit the Moto Z3 Play. Great fit. Easy to install. Feels solid on the phone. Made out of clear plasticy rubber stuff.

I purchased one of these from the local store yesterday but I have noticed that there is a place at bottom center back that the bumper covers. It'is in the way soI cannot get the battery mod off without taking case off. Other mods also won't attach. Help!
