Stream TV - Disable / Enable App

Some pre-installed apps on your 2nd-generation Stream TV are mainstays that can’t be removed. Disabling an app can prevent it from running, while enabling it can return functionality.
  • The steps below apply to the 2nd-generation Stream TV which can be identified by the Find My Remote button. If you have the original Stream TV model, refer to Stream TV - Disable / Enable App.

  • Ensure your Stream TV is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad on the remote to highlight and the center (OK) button to select.
  2. Navigate:
    Android TV settings
    Apps
    See all apps
    .
  3. Tap an appropriate app.
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • Disable Apps
      Disabling an app may cause related apps to function improperly.
      1. Tap
        Disable
        .
        If the Disable option isn't available, navigate:
        Force stop
        OK
        .
      2. Review the notification then select
        OK
        .
      3. If prompted to 'replace this app with the factory version', select
        OK
         to confirm.
    • Enable Apps
      1. Tap
        Enable
        .
      2. Review the notification then select
        OK
         to confirm.
