We're kicking off a new series today where we're going to feature some of the awesome bloggers we work with across the Midwest Area. We love working with them, so we want to let our readers learn more about them. Who knows...we may feature a blogger who is right there in your neck of the woods and you haven't met yet!

First up is Cris Goode. She owns the GOODEness Gracious blog and As Goode as it Gets-Year 2 Change.

Give us a brief description of who you are and tell us about your blog.

My name is Cris Goode. I am the mama behind GOODEnessGracious.com where we are cooking up GOODe food with a side of life and the “she said” of the he said/she said on AsGoodeAsItGets.com where we are currently tackling our Year 2 Change Challenge. Both blogs center around my family as we are living the GOODe life in the hills of Indiana.

What's your favorite part about being a blogger?

I love the community that develops through blogging ... both within the blogging community and also among readers.

What’s one of your favorite blogging moments?

Most recently I was able to meet several of my blog readers in person who had been reading for several years and it totally made my day. It was very rewarding to see that our little blogs have such an impact on others.

What”s your one “can't live without” app?

Can I have only one?!? Well I am going to take two! I would say ZipList is very helpful for me for meal planning, recipe collection and grocery shopping. But, Lose It is playing a major role in our Year 2 Change Challenge.

What was your "a-ha" technology moment?

I would have to say when I attended my first blog conference. I used Facebook a lot and toyed with Twitter, but mobile was a bit much in my book. At that conference, I really saw firsthand how mobile technologies and social media could connect people more than ever before and how they could magnify a conference goer’s networking capabilities. The connections I made at that conference through technology still have ripple effects today, and that same technology allows me to maintain those relationships easily.

How long have you been reviewing Verizon devices and services, and what are a few of your favorite Verizon devices and why?

I have been reviewing devices for a few months now. My favorite device was (and still is) the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. I liked it so much I went out and bought myself one after the review!

What’s a good personal motto to live by?

I love the quote by Jennifer Freeman that says, “You are far too smart to be the only thing standing in your way.”

Who influenced you most, and what led you to blogging?

A lot of people have influenced me over the years, but in terms of blogging, the day I saw the Pioneer Woman’s site I went home and started Goodeness Gracious. I fell head over heels for the medium ... the story telling, the photographs and the connections to readers. However, over time, bloggers like Beckie at Infarrantly Creative inspired me to take my hobby to the next level and make it my business.

Make a prediction about technology based on where you’d like the world to be 10 years from now.

How about a wish instead of a prediction? The other night, my girlfriends and I were enjoying a fun girls night out, but one by one our phones were dropping like flies due to battery life. I commented to them how nice it will be in a few years when our phones can keep up with our needs without having to be charged throughout the day. Some are coming really close (DROID RAZR Maxx), but I would love to see the day when it is the standard.

Thank you, Cris, for being our first featured blogger!
