When it comes to serving the needs of her customers, Amanda Lee is in a league all her own.
As a client partner of mobile solutions on the wireless side in Dallas, Texas, Amanda kept a close eye on the coronavirus outbreak as the situation developed and how it might impact her business.
I proactively reached out to all of my customers in anticipation of many of their employees needing to transition to work from home.
Her largest customer made a request for 200 MiFis. Amanda checked and found that her local inventory couldn’t cover that amount. She contacted a 3rd party who said they could supply units. Amanda made the arrangements, but unfortunately the vender later had a problem with their warehouse and did not get the shipment.
“I text messaged my customer and said we’re looking at alternatives.”
Her customer said in the near term she really just needed ten MiFis. Amanda kept working to find a solution.
“I called the Fort Worth office which is about an hour from my home and they said that they had ten there.”
Amanda drove to Fort Worth herself, picked up the MiFis and delivered them herself.
“My customer was extremely grateful. Because we went the extra mile, [the next day] my customer activated 36 smart phones - all on Verizon.”
Amanda obviously works extremely hard while also taking care of her five-year old twins. She says she’s happy to do it for a company like Verizon.
“In these uncertain times it’s great that we can connect people at a time when we can’t be physically connected. It makes a difference and really makes you feel good about our company and the strength of the network and everything we work for every day. To see people benefit from that is really rewarding.”
