When you face a challenge, you find out what kind of person you are. Whether you shy away or you take it on, roll your sleeves up and get involved.
Daniel Evans would know. As a client partner for the Verizon Business Group in the United Kingdom, he and his team were faced with a challenge: A major Verizon client had taken on the government’s request to find a way to quickly transition their manufacturing operations to produce much-needed ventilators to help people fighting coronavirus (COVID-19). This massive and ambitious innovation project meant Dan and his crew had to act fast.
And they did.
“I’m quite proud of the team for how quick they were able to step up to the mark and help,” said Dan. “Within hours, we were able to get on a call with the customer, troubleshoot and make sure we could load balance with their headquarters, take more bandwidth and transition workers to work from home with limited down time.”
At the same time, Dan has been volunteering his time in the local community, helping to set up a hyper-local, location-based volunteer project to connect those who need help with those who can provide it.
With the stakes so high for so many, it’s great to see Dan and his team leading by example.
