Expanding Nova Credit
According to a survey commissioned by Nova Credit, buying a phone is one of the top priorities of immigrants when they arrive in the U.S. and Verizon is always looking for ways to serve all of our customers.
In March, Verizon announced that through our partnership with Nova credit, we were the first U.S. carrier. to provide new to the country customers access to device financing on the network America relies on.
This week, we announced an expansion of that partnership that will make it easier for our retail and customer service employees to offer international credit checks to customers over the phone and in select Verizon stores.
The expansion will allow customers opportunities to qualify for financing, creating more opportunities beyond bringing their own device or prepaid phone plans.

This week, the Verizon Business team and Nokia hosted nearly 200 hundred business customers at their latest 5G Innovation Session to get a hands-on experience with 5G and Mobile Edge Compute.

The day prior, the Verizon Business team made a stop in Irving, TX for an employee town hall where V Teamers were recognized for their business contributions and had a chance to take part in a Q&A session.

Verizon and Dignitas bring new levels to gaming
Verizon and international esports organization, Dignitas, recently teamed up for a 5G gaming activation at our 5G LA lab.
Through the use of 5G edge computing and artificial intelligence, gamers were able to puppet an avatar named Digi live while they played. The virtual avatar mirrored the gamers emotions and modulated their voices, all in real time on a mobile device.
This awesome demo highlights the evolution of video game live streaming and how 5G, cloud computing and AI can be combined to create a simple, reliable, Hollywood-quality mobile experience that will provide esports teams and individual players with new ways to interact with fans via live avatars.
