Answering the call; an update on our Business Operations team.

Jeremy spoke with Mike Bickel, who leads about 10,000 employees around the world as part of our Business Group Operations team. This group serves a wide range of clients, including the biggest names in business, as well as public sector customers like municipal governments, non-profits, hospitals and school districts.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the team has managed to come together over the past few months and adapt their ways of working to continue serving customers. As an example, we hosted a conference call for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control with 10,000 participants.

Thank you to all for the great work in keeping the world moving forward.

The latest fleet-footed product from Verizon Connect.

Verizon Connect has launched an extension of its Integrated Video product for fleet-based customers. The technology uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to help improve safety, mitigate risk and improve driver behavior.

Bradley Medford, the owner of B.A.M. Trucking in West Virginia, talks about how having Verizon Connect’s Integrated Video in his trucks when accidents occur has protected the company from tens of thousands of dollars in fraudulent lawsuits.

Help for women in business.

Verizon Business announced a program today to support women-owned small businesses owners in the wake of COVID-19. We will provide valuable resources for female and minority-owned small business owners and entrepreneurs including mentorship and access to Yahoo! Small Business BusinessMaker. The initiative is through a partnership with CircleAround and the National Association of Women Business Owners.

This type of support is especially needed today, with 49% of female small-business owners believing that having access to a network of like-minded female business leaders would be helpful in navigating a post COVID-19 reality, according to a recent Verizon business survey.

A new business webinar series.

This week, Verizon will kick off “Return to Business as Unusual,” a new monthly webinar series for Enterprise businesses. The first event, “The New Trajectory for Telehealth,” which features renowned business journalist, author and Emmy nominee Ron Insana and Harvard professor Dr. Joseph Kvedar, will take place today at 2:00 PM ET. Each webinar will be available on demand.

A 5G Laptop worth talking about.

George is back from the tiki lounge with a look at the Lenovo Flex 5G, the world’s first 5G Ultra Wideband laptop available at verizonwireless.com on June 18.

The Flex 5G takes advantage of Verizon’s unprecedented 5G Ultra Wideband speeds to connect, collaborate and download files at up to 2 gigabits per second. The effortlessly portable two-in-one Flex 5G is a great alternative for mobile multitaskers, work-from-homers and road warriors who need faster and more reliable connectivity when streaming, collaborating, video-chatting, gaming and file-transferring.

With the introduction of the Lenovo Flex 5G, we’re also unveiling a new 5G Ultra Wideband Connected Device Plan for consumers that offers Unlimited connectivity to our 5G network for just $30 per month with an existing line (or $90 per month without).

A dad dishes on the Dew.

With Father's Day coming up this weekend, it’s a reminder that many of our V Team dads have had a lot of extra time -- for better and for worse -- with their kids this year.
