👟💨 An absolute blast at the Unstoppable Run [0:30]

Verizon’s Unstoppable Run is an event-filled celebration of our Consumer Group’s top performers. They delivered outstanding results between October and December 2023.

These awesome V Teamers received a true experience: from their VIP arrival experience to a meet-and-greet with leaders, to a sponsor showcase and celebration dinner. The main event? A warehouse run and winner’s lounge filled with prizes and fun.

This is just one part of our recognition strategy for our retail teams, on top of others like Winner’s Circle, President’s Cabinet, monthly contests and, of course, individual compensation.

🎉Celebrating the latest and greatest at South By Southwest! [1:21]

This week, you’ll find members of our Communications and Marketing team spreading the word about all things Verizon at South By Southwest (SxSW) !

What is it? South By Southwest is an annual event that celebrates the latest and greatest in film, media, music and more.

What are we doing there? Our team on the ground held an informative Cocktails and Connections event for press, influencers, and Verizon customers.

📱 Sampath breaks down our inaugural Consumer Connections Report [2:01]

While at South By Southwest (see above), CEO of Verizon Consumer Group, Sampath Sowmyanarayan, sat down with media outlets Axios and Fast Company to talk about all things consumer and dive into the data from our inaugural Consumer Connections Report.

What is the Consumer Connections Report? The report takes a look at the most popular apps people use, the population flow from state-to-state, as well as consumer data usage within cities across the US. It was designed to provide some insight into how connectivity is influencing and improving the way we live, work and play.

Having 2️⃣ phone numbers has never been easier! 📱📱[3:36]

At Verizon, we’re always looking to addresses our customers needs by introducing plans and offers that make their lives easier.

We shared a clip featuring Director of Mobile Value Proposition Max Rosen who broke down a great new plan for our customers called Second Number, which gives you exactly that! A second number.

Customers can get this sweet deal for just 10 dollars a month, and if you’re an employee it’s only $7.50!

💪We empower women at Verizon, and it shows! [4:43]

All March long, we’re celebrating Women’s History Month, and we hope you’ve been keeping up with our incredible lineup of events so far!

Just last week, Aparna Khurjekar moderated a panel with the now four incredible women on the Verizon Leadership Council: Vandana Venkatesh, Sam Hammock, Leslie Berland, and our new Chief Communications Officer, Stacy Sharpe!

And our efforts at Verizon to celebrate women are not going unnoticed.

Two amazing awards: Recently, DiversityComm magazine announced their 2024 Best of the Best list. DCM polled a number of Fortune 1,000 companies to find the biggest leaders who are creating an inclusive workplace culture and empowering multicultural women in business.

But that’s not all, we were once again recognized as a top Women Employer and Top supplier diversity program for Women Business Enterprises.

🔊 Showing up big at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Vegas! [6:05]

What’s happening? This week, Verizon Business is showcasing its 5G business solutions at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo (booth #1219) at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, NV.

Why are we there? On the heels of its recent announcement of recognition program winners, the Verizon Partner Network is doubling down on its commitment to ensuring our channel partners succeed.

So what is this? This recognition program recognizes partners who go above and beyond to drive innovation forward.

⛈️🌪️ Preparing to weather any storm! [6:47]

Spring and summer are fast approaching, and Verizon Frontline isn’t wasting any time when it comes to severe weather prep.

They recently kicked off their Extreme Network Roadshow in cities around the country.

Why? Verizon Frontline to display our deployable assets and talk about how we support first responders during the routine and the extreme: everything from wildfires, to tornadoes and hurricanes.

At these events, regional public safety agencies get the opportunity to see our solutions like our Tactical Humanitarian Operations Response (THOR) in person, try them out, and learn more about the strength of our network and ability to respond quickly in an emergency.

Where to next? The roadshow had its first stop in Sacramento, California last week and will be in Louisville, Kentucky later this week.

🎸Two recent examples of why our Test Force rocks! [7:38]

We talk a lot on Up To Speed about our amazing Test Force and the lengths they go to, to ensure our customers stay connected. Here are two recent examples of their grit and determination!

Example 1️⃣: We shared an incredible photo of [07:44] Justin and Pete, two of our Field Engineers in Northern Nevada who traveled via snowcat to refuel the generator at our Virginia Peak site, which sits at a casual 8,370 feet in elevation! What a journey, nice job!

Example 2️⃣: [03:05] With over 300,000 attendees attending South by Southwest this week, our Test Force was busy in Austin making sure customers had the best connectivity possible. They took a few reporters along for a ride, showing off our network deployment around the Convention Center, local parks and the Moody’s Center.
