NEW YORK – Verizon continues to change the TV and entertainment experience for the better with its latest update to the Fios Mobile App. Customers with both Fios Quantum TV and Fios Internet service can now stream nearly all of their DVR-recorded shows from anywhere they have an Internet connection. Also for the first time, these customers can watch every live TV channel in their plan through the app on their mobile devices while at home.

The new Fios Quantum TV Mobility features began rolling out in November and are available in all markets today.

“The latest innovations of the Fios Mobile app are how today’s consumers want to watch TV and view content,” said Susan Retta, vice president of consumer marketing, Verizon. “These new features allow our customers to take their home Fios TV experience with them and to enjoy it whenever and wherever they go.”

Customers can download the Fios Mobile App at Google Play and the App Store to start streaming their recorded content from anywhere with an internet connection right away.

The addition of Fios Quantum TV Mobility is another way the Fios Mobile App from Verizon continues to take the traditional TV-viewing experience outside the home. It’s also another new feature most cable providers don’t offer their customers, and in some cities, such as New York, none do at all. With the app, customers can:

  • Stream every subscribed channel and all recorded content while at home
  • Watch nearly all of their recorded shows while away from home
  • Access thousands of On-Demand titles
  • Manage their DVR recordings from virtually anywhere
  • Use their mobile device as a Fios TV remote
  • Set parental controls

In addition to DVR streaming, Fios Quantum TV gives customers access to Verizon’s most advanced DVR system with the ability to record up to 12 shows at the same time with up to 200 hours of HD recording capacity. They can also pause, play and rewind a live show or recording from any room in the house and resume it in another.
