Announcing INnet international NV/SA

Antwerpen-- INnet announces the incorporation of INnet International NV with a participation of PIPEX. To further extend the BENELUX activities, INnet NV/SA today announces the incorporation of INnet International NV/SA.

INnet International will continue the success INnet has had in the Belgian market and further develop the Luxembourg and the Dutch market. The activities of INnet NV/SA, INnet Luxembourg SA and INnet/PIPEX Nederland BV, which is in the process of being founded, will be coordinated through the newly established company. At the same time, PIPEX, a subsidiary of Unipalm Group plc, a UK company takes a 14.9% stake in INnet International. Not only does this participation strengthen the financial position of INnet International, it also means continued trust and transfer of know-how from Europe's leading commercial Internet provider. Chris Batterham, Unipalm's group finance and commercial director, will join the board of INnet International. He says: "This development will strengthen our international network and enable our partner to develop their business faster and more profitably. We expect to do more such deals in Europe and elsewhere."

At the same time, INnet announces 4 additional Points Of Presence (PoPs) in Belgium, thus doubling the current number of PoPs. Over the following weeks, local dialup through modem and ISDN and leased line access will be available in Hasselt (011/089), Kortrijk (056), Leuven (016) and Mechelen (015). Today, INnet already has PoPs in Brussels, Antwerpen, Gent , Herentals, and Luxembourg. "Over the last months, we have been expanding the capacity of our existing PoPs," Luc Dierckx, managing director of INnet International says. "Today is the first step in the further expansion of our network and its external connectivity, offering professional Internet access and related services throughout the BENELUX."
