Samsung Galaxy Tab E (8.0) - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your Galaxy Tab E (8.0) to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secured remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    More connection settings
    .
    For software version 7.1.1 or earlier, navigate:
    Settings
    More
    .
  3. Tap
    VPN
    .
    If presented, tap
    Basic VPN
    .
  4. Tap
    ADD VPN
    .
  5. If presented with a secure screen lock notification, tap
    OK
    .
    Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  6. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
  7. From the Type field, tap the
    dropdown menu icon
     Dropdown menu icon then select the VPN type.
  8. Enter the Server address then tap
    SAVE
    .
    If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the additional options.
