Here's how to view the screen of your S6 / S6 edge on your TV or another media device.
  • To play or copy media to / from other devices (e.g., computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the user manual or contact the equipment manufacturer for assistance.
  • Some apps (e.g., YouTube, Netflix®, etc.) support displaying the app contents on a remote display. Within the app, tap the
    Cast icon
    Cast icon then select the desired display from the list.

  1. Touch and hold the
    Status bar
    (located at the top) then drag to the bottom.

  2. From the Notification Panel, swipe down to expand the Quick Settings menu.
  3. Tap
    Smart View
    .
    May require swiping left to display additional icons.
  4. Select the appropriate display from the list of available devices.
    If unavailable, ensure your TV/external display supports screen sharing and is turned on.
  1. Open the
    Gallery app
    Gallery icon.
  2. Choose the appropriate album or navigate to the image/video location.
  3. Tap a picture or video to view.
  4. Tap the
    Share icon
    Share icon.
    If necessary, tap the screen to display the options.
  5. Tap
    View content on TV (Smart View)
    then select the desired external display from the list.
