Push to Talk Plus - Migration From Desktop Dispatch to Web Dispatch
Here's how to migrate from the Push to Talk Plus Desktop Dispatch to Web Dispatch.
- Once migrated from Desktop Dispatch to Web Dispatch, user is unable to use the Desktop Dispatch app.
- All corporate groups and contacts are available on Web Dispatch and the same MDN is maintained after migration.
- Web Dispatch is supported on Windows platform on browsers that supports plugin or extension - IE 11, Chrome 45 & higher, Firefox 41 & higher.
- Windows tablet is not supported in the initial release.
- Users are prompted to install a plugin prior to use of Web Dispatch.
- The Admin can initiate the Dispatch Console to Web Dispatch migration from the ECM.
- After migration, Local groups created on Desktop Dispatch, Historical logs and call recordings are not available unless using the archival utility provided in Desktop Dispatch 3.0.
- From an existing Desktop Dispatch account, checkWeb Dispatchunder 'User Type'.
- From the warning message, clickOKto proceed.
- From the Web Dispatch admin, enter a unique email address as User ID.An error is generated if the email address is not unique.
- Enable or disable Bread Crumb, Geo Fence & PTX features.These features are enabled by default.
- To confirm user ID creation clickOK.
- A verification email containing the user ID, and URL used to sign in to Web Dispatcher is sent to the unique email address.
- From the Web Dispatcher activation URL, the User is prompted to choose a password.
- The user is directed to a Sign in? screen.
