moto e5 play - Turn Automatic App Restore On / Off

Here's info on backing up and restoring app data on your moto e5 play.
  • 'Automatic restore' allows backed up settings and data to be automatically restored when an app is reinstalled.
  • When attempting to determine whether a third-party app is the cause of an operating system / app issue, ensure 'Automatic restore' is turned off prior to performing a factory data reset.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
     Settings icon >
    System System Settings icon
    >
    Backup Backup Settings icon
    .
    Before proceeding, ensure the Backup account listed is the desired account.
  3. Ensure the
    Back up to Google Drive switch
     is on Switch on.
  4. Tap
    App data
    .
  5. Tap the
    Automatic restore switch
     to turn on or off.
