LG Q70 - Customize Your Home Screen
Here's how to add / remove Home screen items (widgets, apps or folders) and set the wallpaper on your LG Q70.
To customize the Home screen on your LG Q70™ do any of the following:
Add Apps
A shortcut to an individual contact or bookmark can only be added to a Home screen via a widget.
- From the Apps screen, touch and hold an app.
- Drag and drop the shortcut to the preferred Home screen.For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.
Add Widgets
Widgets are mini-apps (e.g., weather, clock, calendar, etc.) that can be added to a Home screen. They aren't the same as shortcuts as they generally display info and take up more space than a single icon.
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- TapWidgets(at the bottom).
- Touch and hold a widget.
- Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.For the widget to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space on the screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.
Add / Remove Folders
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Email, My Verizon, etc.).
- Drag the app on to another app (e.g., Gmail, Call Filter, etc.) then release it.A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Folder). To rename the folder:
- Tap the folder.
- Tap theTitle bar(top of the open folder).
- Enter a name then tapDone.To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
Remove Apps / Widgets
Removing an app from a Home screen uninstalls it from your device.
- From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, etc.).
- Drag the item to 'Delete' or 'Remove' (top-center) then release.Some pre-installed apps (e.g., Gmail, Gallery, etc.) can't be deleted from a Home screen.
- From the 'Delete this app?' screen, tapDelete.
Set Wallpaper
- Touch and hold a blank space on a Home screen.
- TapWallpaper & theme(lower-left).If prompted with permissions, tapALLOW.
- Do one of the following:
- Select image from Gallery:
- TapGallery.
- Navigate to the appropriate folder and select an image.
- Crop the image as desired then tapOK.
- Select a default imageTap the desired default image.
- Select the screen(s) you want the wallpaper to appear on:Selected when a checkmark is present.
- Home screen
- Lock screen
- TapSet wallpaper.
