🥰 We love Take Your Child To Work Day!

Take Your Child To Work Day (TYCTWD) is a yearly favorite at Verizon! We love meeting all our future V Teamers.

Throughout the day, V Teamers and their kids took part in loads of fun activities like Verizon Innovative Learning sessions, mindfulness, robotics sessions and more at Hub locations across the country. And speaking of hub locations, we wanted to give a special shout out to our Lake Mary office who is celebrating their 10-year office anniversary.

During the live show, our CEO Hans Vestberg and Verizon Consumer Group CEO Sowmyanarayan Sampath answered some questions, and Sampath’s son Keshav shared his own TYCTWD experience.

Hans even shared an iteration of his famous ‘3 things at the dinner table’ with a TYCTWD twist!

Here they are:

  1. Be proud of your parents, they’re doing a great job at Verizon.
  2. Think about your future and what you want to do when you grow up, be sure to focus on doing what you really like to do.
  3. Be an ambassador for the Verizon brand, tell your parents the good and the bad about our products and services.

Sampath jumped on the trend and also shared his three things to talk about at the dinner table:

  1. Be ready for change! Technology is always evolving.
  2. Go out and play! We love our devices, but it’s important to get out there, burn some calories and have fun doing it.
  3. Be kind to everyone! And hopefully others will also be kind to you.

🏈 It’s NFL Draft Day!

Today’s a big day for future NFL players and Verizon’s making sure everything goes smoothly! Andy Choi joined us live from Detroit, where the draft is taking place, to give us an update on how we’re prepping for the big day.

💼 Did someone say Small Business Days?

Small Business Days are back and bigger than ever. In addition to exclusive offers and promotions nationwide, this week at over 27 Verizon locations around the country, small-business owners can stop by for “tech checks,” and snacks. But that’s not all, listen up business owners, local headshot photographers, hired by Verizon, are shooting complimentary professional headshots, you won’t want to miss that!

🏵 Plants rule!

Speaking of SMB Days, we always love to highlight our thriving Small Business customers. One of the many examples is Pita’s Planters, Dallas’ first plant shop on wheels!

Pita, the owner of Pita’s Planters, was born in Houston, but grew up in the small town of Coatepeque, Guatemala, and moved to the U.S. at the age of 12. Pita built her mobile plant shop into a brick and mortar store, while getting her PhD in neuroscience, thanks to the Verizon tools that help her balance both her business and her education.

We shared an inspirational clip of Pita so be sure to check it out in our replay video above.

💲You can save big time by bundling your services!

Have you heard of super bundling? It’s a new trend that could save you hundreds on your home internet, cell phone plan and streaming entertainment.

A new report from Techsponential says people bundling these services with one provider are getting bigger discounts than buying services individually.

The report compares Verizon, T-Mobile, and Comcast bundles, and Verizon was the stand-out in best overall value. The report notes that Verizon puts the 'super' in 'super bundle' with the most content options to choose from and the ultimate flexibility than any other provider.
