On today’s edition of Up To Speed, host Jennifer Marin shared a full overview of our Parents and Caregivers Together (PACT) Employee Resource Group’s (ERG) month-long celebrations.
All August long PACT shined a spotlight on parents and caregivers with the theme: PACTfilled Adventure — Stronger together, better together, supporting & ImPACTing Verizon families.
Verizon PACT stands for “Parents and Caregivers Together”. This Employee Resource Group is committed to empowering parents and caregivers to succeed at work and in life through education and communal support.
Here’s a look at just some of the events:
- August 3rd: We kicked off the month with an impactful conversation on caregivers. Panelists shared their personal experiences with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and how that affected their lives.
- August 10th: UPchieve led a discussion in partnership with PACT and The Voice of the Latinx community (SOMOS) ERGs on the importance of education and equity.
- August 17th: Senior Vice President of Small & Medium Business Solutions, Wendy Taccetta alongside other leaders held a BlueJeans event to help our V Teamers navigate the professional and personal challenges that come with caring for multiple generations.
V Team there’s still a few events left and of course plenty of volunteer opportunities, click here to learn more.
We closed out the episode by sharing an all encompassing video featuring members of PACT sharing why their ERG is so special.
