On today’s edition of Up To Speed Live, hosts Raquel Wilson and Jen Marin help kick off Black History Month with a couple of special guests:

👣 BOLD’s theme for this year is, “BOLDer steps together. Tomorrow is built today.”

🎂 Happy Birthday to BOLD!

We’re celebrating BOLD’s 40th birthday! Did you know that BOLD is a new name for this ERG? It is, but their mission of equity and inclusion dates back to 1983, when it was known as CITE (Consortium of Information and Telecommunications Executives ): our first-ever official ERG (Employee Resource Group). In 2018, the group changed their name to BRAVE (Black Resource Association of Verizon Employees), and in 2020, members cast their votes, choosing BOLD as a new name to embody the spirit of the group’s determination.
