Happy Monday, V Team! On today’s edition of Up To Speed Live, host Raquel Wilson shared a full news rundown.
It’s time for mid-year reviews
Today is the first day of mid-year reviews. It’s an important time to reflect -- and of course celebrate -- your accomplishments for the first half of 2022, but it’s also time to map out your goals for the second half of the year. A great resource to prepare for your mid-year conversations and map out your future goals is Verizon’s Talent GPS platform. V Teamers can access Talent GPS by clicking on the About You tab on VZWeb or by clicking here.
A few weeks ago we welcomed our new Senior Vice President of Talent and Diversity, Christina Schelling, to discuss the importance and driving force behind Talent GPS. She also broke down the new features that recently launched including: A one stop shop microsite, a job library and the “Your Career Journey” resource.
Not sure how to use Talent GPS to prepare for your mid-year review? Be sure to watch how fellow V Teamer, Jennifer Taylor, used these Talent GPS tools to do just that. Remember V Team, the deadline to complete mid-year activities is August 12th!
Verizon Corporate Classic 5K
The Verizon Corporate Classic 5K is back in-person this year on Thursday July 14 in Morristown, NJ.
The race, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m., is designed primarily as an opportunity for co-workers to get together to enjoy an evening of fun and fitness in a spirit of camaraderie.
Whether you’re a runner, a jogger or maybe even a walker, the Verizon Corporate Classic 5K is the perfect way to get outside, exercise and support Team Verizon.
The perfect summertime drink
We closed out the show by sharing some insight on slush drink company, Frazil.
The slush machines used by Frazil are powered by our ThingSpace Internet of Things platform. As a refresher, ThingSpace can manage and monitor cellular IoT devices in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, and even slush machines in retail.
Our recent partnership with the company is helping them change their business model and enhance the retail experience. With ThingSpace, Frazil is able to collect slush machine data across a large geographic area and continuously optimize their performance, saving both Frazil and retailers time and money.
