The Verizon network didn’t miss a beat. I really can’t say that our competitors can say the same thing.

Unlimited service for customers affected by wildfires.

Wildfires across Northern and Southern California this week have displaced more than 200,000 residents from their homes. Governor Gavin Newsom declared a statewide emergency on Sunday, urging people in evacuation zones to heed all warnings from officials and first responders.

Despite the widespread fires, our network has not been impacted, allowing for customers and evacuees to get in touch with their friends and family during the crisis. Thanks to the continued investment in battery backups and generators for cell sites, the Verizon network is running strong for customers and first responders. “The Verizon network didn’t miss a beat,” said Tom Murphy, manager, Indirect Sales.

We’re providing unlimited calling, texting, and data for our consumer and small business customers impacted by the wildfire. Through November 3, affected communities in Los Angeles, Marin, Napa, and Sonoma counties will receive unlimited service.

You can make a $10 donation to victims of the California wildfires by texting REDCROSS to 90999, and if you’d like to help out V Teamers affected by the fires, please donate to the VtoV employee relief fund.
