As Military Appreciation Month comes to a close, Verizon is paying tribute to all those who have served our country with this new video, in partnership with Wounded Warrior Project. The spot features real families and real stories, and complements our month-long, nationwide military appreciation campaign with activities such as:
  • 16 military moms won $1,000 tech makeovers for Mother's Day
  • $10 from each new Verizon wireless phone sale in May is being donated to Wounded Warriors Project . . . up to $250,000
And leading into Memorial Day, Verizon employees are remembering the ultimate sacrifice made by those who have fallen while on active duty. Verizon work locations across the country are featuring Fallen Comrade Tables, that visually tell the story of the men and women who have fallen.

With more than 11,000 veterans now on duty as Verizon employees, we continue to actively recruit veterans and ensure their success with new-hire training programs, special networking opportunities, and a veterans employee resource group. Kevin Battles is a solutions manager at Verizon Wireless in North Little Rock, Arkansas, and serves as President of the Veterans Advisory Board of Verizon, and said, "There's a reason Verizon's been named 2018’s number one military-friendly company. While we honor those who've fallen on Memorial Day, Verizon's commitment to our men and women who have served continues year long."
