Great for places that have not electrical connections for a regular door bell or for another access of the house that you can even watch for more security like a patio door easy install last longer battery I would recommend having at least 2 so never be with out is well made and have really good app connection I think quality of the camera is great meets the expectations.

I’ve been using the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro and overall, I’m impressed. The video quality is excellent, even at night, and I like the quick alerts on my phone. Installation was super easy since it’s battery-powered—no wiring needed. The smart detection filters out most false alerts, which is a big plus. However, the battery life isn’t great; I have to recharge it more often than I expected. Also, the subscription is necessary if you want to review footage. Still, it gives me peace of mind and looks sleek on my door. Worth it, mostly.

I added two Stick Up Cams (Battery) thinking they'd add some coverage above my Ring Doorbell capabilities. "Some" coverage turned into a lot of coverage. I would have been happy with just my driveway and yard covered, but one camera captures all vehicle movement in my cul de sac and even my neighbors like the added security. The other camera covers my entire back yard. Thanks Ring!!!!

I'm retired and live in the country. I have a boat dock and keep my boat there most of the year except for winter weather and maintenance. I don't have a clear line of sight from my home to the dock and boat. This camera alerts me to all activity including beautiful sunrises and boaters too close to my dock and speeding causing large damaging waves, or thieves. So, if there's any damage or theft, I'll have evidence for the Police and Insurance company.

Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review. It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the device in regards to the solar panel charging the device. There are some troubleshooting steps that you can take to ensure that you have your device set up for optimal performance. While batteries in Ring devices can go months between recharges with normal use, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home's environment, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. The more events captured by your Ring Stick Up Cam Pro, the more your battery is used to power the live HD video stream to your device. Even if you do not answer the call, video is still sent from your Ring product to the Ring servers. In addition, the battery is also drained each time you use the live view to look or speak through your camera. The device's battery level may vary based on the amount of direct sunlight the solar panel receives. It is important to ensure that your Ring Solar Panel is installed correctly and that it is receiving enough direct sunlight to operate as intended. For best performance, Ring recommends at least two to three hours of direct sunlight for the Ring Solar Panel. With the recommended amount of direct sunlight, the device will remain continuously charged under most conditions. Make sure there are no obstructions or objects that could cast a shadow on your solar panel, such as an extended roof, tree, or bush. Seasonality and how far north (or south) you live can affect the strength of the sun. If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, install your solar panel facing south. If you live in the southern hemisphere, install it facing north. Ring recommends using the adjustable arm to angle the panel at about 45 degrees toward the sky to get the most sunlight possible.
