At Verizon, we strive to keep you informed of changes that may impact your FiOS® experience. That’s why we're letting you know that as of November 1, 2013, the Verizon Media Manager PC/Mac-Client Application will be retired and no longer supported.
What happens to my personal photos, music, and movies stored online via Media Manager’s “Flex View Library”? All personal content stored online will be unavailable after November 1, 2013. Please follow the download steps outlined below to ensure you don’t lose any of your personal memories.
Do I need to download my personal files if I Sync my files regularly? You do not need to download your personal files as they should already be on your PC if you sync them regularly.
Should I be concerned if my “Flex View Library” folders says “Not Synched”? You do not need to sync the files/folders if they already exist on your PC. "Not Synched" means the media files/folders on your PC are not backed up to the online storage.
Will I lose my personal photos, music, and movies stored on Media Manager’s “Flex View Library”? Personal media files stored on your PC will not be impacted by the Media Manager retirement. If you have changed your PC since originally synching or uploading files to your Flex View Library, we recommend you follow the download steps outlined below to ensure you don’t lose any of your personal memories.
Can I uninstall Media Manager from my PC? You can uninstall the Media Manager PC application from your PC, as it will be retired on November 1, 2013 and no longer supported.
First, you'll need to "Check your file types" via these steps before downloading. (Note: This only applies to the Media Manager PC application.)
1. Click Tools
2. Click Media Manager Settings
3. Click "Scanning Tab"
4. Check All File Types
5. Click Save
Follow below outlined steps to download from the online Flex View Library.
1. Sign in
2. Click Flex View Library
3. Confirm download path
A.Click on Preferences tab
B. Confirm your download location
4. Click on photos
5. Right Click on ‘Flex View Photos’
6. Click ‘ Download Flex View Albums
7. Select all/folders you want to download
8. Click "Download"
After the download is complete, you will see the newly created folders.
