A Covid-19 survivor shares his message of hope.
Steve Dzanoucakis, who works in business development on the finance team, started feeling sick on March 14th. The fever, chills and achiness lasted six days, during which time he lost his sense of taste and smell. “When my wife also got sick we both got tested and it turns out we both had COVID-19,” Steve said.
His kids did what they could for Steve while he self-isolated. “My daughter was counting down the days to when she could give me a hug.”
Now that Steve is getting back to full strength, he wants to do what he can to help others battling COVID-19 or other medical issues. “When I feel up to it, I’m going to go down to the hospital and donate plasma for the folks that are going to need it going forward.”
The message Steve would like to share with his fellow V Teamers is one of hope. “In the end, we’ll get through this. We just have to push through and stay together.”
Let’s stay connected to our loved ones over this holiday weekend.
